Beat the heat with a trip to the pool!

Keep your whole family busy in the summer with regular trips to the Adel Family Aquatic Center! There are a variety of pricing options so that you can get the most for your money – come for an afternoon or purchase a season pass so that you can visit us as often as you would like.

The facility is open seasonally, typically between lay May and the middle of August. Our tentative opening date for 2023 has not yet been set.

Morning Lap Swim – 6:30am-8:00am Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays
Open Swim – 12:30pm-5:00pm & 6:00pm-8:00pm daily* (See evening exceptions below)
Family Swim/Lap Swim- 5:00pm-6:00pm daily**

* The aquatic center will be closed for evening open swim on the following dates due to swim lessons & programs: June 6-10, July 5-8, 11-14, 21
**Family swim is specifically for families. Children MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian to remain at the pool during family swim. The slides are not open during family swim.

Adel Family Aquatic Center Closing Policy
The facility will close for the following reasons: When the temperature falls below 65 degrees, when lightning/thunder is present, when there are less than 25 patrons in the pool for an extended period of time,  and when safety hazards occur, such as a fecal accident, etc.

Swim Lessons

The Adel Family Aquatic Center offers swimming lessons for all ages and abilities. View class descriptions.

Group Lessons
Class meets eight times Monday-Thursday for 30 minutes. Fridays are used as a make-up in case of inclement weather. Student to instructor ratio is a maximum of 5:1. Fee is $50.
Session 1: weeks of June 13 and 20, 2022; 10am-Noon
Session 2: weeks of July 5 and 11, 2022; 6-8pm
Session 3: weeks of July 25 and Aug. 1, 2022; 10am-Noon

Private Lessons
Class meets five times Monday-Friday for 30 minutes. Student to instructor ratio is 1:1. Fee is $75. Additional sibling of similar swim ability and age can be added for $45.
Session 1: June 6-10, 2022; 6-8pm
Session 2: June 27-July 1, 2022; 10am-Noon
Session 3: July 18-22, 2022; 10am-Noon

Parent-Tot Lessons
Class meets five times Monday-Friday for 30 minutes. Parent/adult participation is required. Fee is $40.
Session 1: June 20-24, 2022; 5:15-5:45pm
Session 2: July 25-29, 2022; 5:15-5:45pm
Session 3: Aug. 1-5, 2022; 5:15-5:45pm

Birthday Party Package

Have your birthday party at the Adel Family Aquatic Center during normal business hours. Prices start at $100 + admission. Package includes reserved area, cake, pop, discounted admission, party hats and blowers, birthday announcement over speakers, and swimming during one pool break.

Private Pool Rentals

Looking for a fun way to celebrate a big birthday, a winning season, or a group? Make your event unique by booking a private pool party with us!  Your group will have the facility to yourself. Private rentals are able to bring in their own food and drink (no glass containers or alcohol). Rentals are available on Saturday and Sunday nights from 8-10pm.

Special Events

Aqua Zumba

Get your exercise in while having a blast! The aquatic class is high-energy, but low impact. The water component reduces pressure on joints making it great for all ages! 10 Class Punch Pass – $50; Single Class Drop In – $7;  Tuesday & Thursday mornings  6-6:45am

Twilight Tuesdays 
Swim under the lights with us as we stay open late to enjoy an evening under the stars.
Second Tuesday of every month (June 14, July 19, 2022) from 8:00pm-10:00pm

Splash Bash
On these exclusive nights, we allow pool floats, tubes, noodles, water toys, etc.
Last Wednesday of every month (June 29, July 27. 2022) from 6:00pm-8:00pm

Summer Kick-Off 
Join us as we celebrate the start of summer with free hot dogs, chips, and water along with activities for kids of all ages.
Friday, June 3, 2022 from 6:00pm-8:00pm

Fathers Day 
Also known as “Dads are AWESOME Day.” Dads receive free admission into aquatic center with paying child. Sunday, June 19, 2022

Military Day
Current and past military members and family receive free admission into aquatic center. Thank you for your service! Monday, July 4, 2022

Cardboard Boat Regatta 
Join us for our 3rd annual cardboard boat regatta! Gather your friends or family and build a boat to race across the pool.
Evening of Thursday, July 21, 2022

Doggy Dip 
Bring your four-legged friend to the pool for a special swim time just for them. $5/dog
Final day of the pool season (TBD)

Daycare & Day Camps

Groups are welcome to visit the Adel Family Aquatic Center, but we do require advanced notice. All persons associated with the group must pay to get in and no group admission rates are offered. Chaperone to child ratio must be less than or equal to 1:8. Groups can contact Ramona Dillinger at rdillinger@adel.webspecwmh.dev to schedule their visits.  View Daycare & Day Camp Policies.

Swim Test Policy

Swimmers 8 years old and younger will be required to pass a swim test if they wish to swim outside the zero-entry zone without direct guardian supervision (non-swimmer within arms length of a guardian). Wristbands will be provided to swimmers who successfully complete the swim test. Have additional questions? See full details at Swim test policy and Swim Test FAQs.

Become a Lifeguard

LIFEGUARD CLASS
American Red Cross blended learning course with online and in-person portions. Certification valid for 2 years.
Must be 15 years of age.
FEE: $175 (Fee is reimbursed if working for Adel Aquatic Center)

LIFEGUARD REVIEW CLASS
American Red Cross review class will provide recertification in Lifeguarding, First-Aid and CPR/AED training for the professional rescuer valid for two years upon completion.
FEE: $100 (Fee is reimbursed if working for Adel Aquatic Center)

LIFEGUARD IN-TRAINING
Welcoming all aspiring lifeguards or pool junkies! A great way to dip your toes into the life of a guard.
Participants will be introduced to a variety of skills through fun games and activities. No certification is obtained through this camp. Ages 11-14.
FEE: $60 (includes T-shirt)
